Adding a News Item
1. Once you've logged into the Admin panel, you can use the drop-down menu or the links showing on the page to edit or add news items. Click on News.

2. If you need to edit a news item, it might be helpful to filter the list by the category the item is in first. Choose the category and click Submit to filter.

3. To edit an article, click on the title of the article.

4. To create a new article, click Add Article.

5. Fill in the title of the article and choose the proper category.

6. Now you can fill in the Summary and Content boxes as the instructions within those boxes indicate below.

7. Your Post Date should be showing as the current date. Status should indicate Published (if not, change it unless you want to keep it as a draft to publish later).
Choose an Expiration Date. This will ensure that the news article will not show on the site any longer once that date comes. The expiration date could be the date after an event you are posting about, or a year from now if the item needs to be updated next year. Choose one that makes sense to your particular post and be sure to tick the Use Expiration Date box.
Then click the Submit button to publish the article.
