Fulfilling our school mission to develop the unique potential of each student, Cedars Christian School is pleased to offer a quality International Education Program. Our goal is to meet the unique needs of international students and have them achieve high academic grades every year.

Cedars Christian School is located in Prince George, the northern capital of Bri tish Columbia, and offers a multitude of extra-curricular activities in sports, leadership, music and drama. As a high school Cedars has been recognized by the Fraser Institute as one of the top academic schools in the Interior of British Columbia.

For high school students whose first language is not English, we provide formal ESL classes. All students will study English for 25%-50% of the day and then move to regular elective classes. As students become proficient in English, their time in elective and academic courses increase.

For elementary students whose first language is not English, ESL will become more of a support, rather than a formal class, to the child's immersion experience in the classroom.

We employ a full time International Program Co-ordinator whose role is to provide ongoing assistance to administrators and teachers. The co-ordinator also oversees our homestay program.

The Homestay Program is a valuable component of the International Education Program. Students who stay in Canadian homestay develop a much greater grasp of the English language and a better appreciation of Canadian culture. We offer study opportunities through the school year for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. We also offer a four-week summer ESL program for students aged 13-17.
